The fonts of the writings of these invitation cards are chosen to be in artistic styles and though most of the luxurious Sikh wedding cards are written in English, a few words in Gurmukhi script may also be included to give the traditional effect of the Sikh community to these cards.

Often, a hand-written note is added to the regular invitation language, which will state the hearty desires of the sender to see the invited guests in their special occasion and make it more joyous and memorable for a lifetime. This practice makes the card more personal and warm for the receivers and they may feel compelled to join the wedding ceremony.
